The free calculators under /tools/ (for entitlements like long service leave, annual leave and redundancy, and for figures like GST) are provided as general information. They are not financial, tax or legal advice, and they're not a substitute for advice from a qualified accountant, tax agent or employment lawyer who knows the specifics of your situation.

Results are estimates

Every result is an estimate based on the figures you enter and the rates in force at the time. Real entitlements and tax outcomes depend on details a calculator can't capture, award conditions, enterprise agreements, prior employment history and individual circumstances among them. Use the result as a starting point, not a final figure.

Where the rates come from

Tax thresholds, GST and superannuation figures are sourced from the Australian Taxation Office (ato.gov.au). Employment entitlements (annual leave, redundancy and the National Employment Standards) are sourced from the Fair Work Ombudsman (fairwork.gov.au), and long service leave from the relevant state or territory legislation. Each calculator states which financial year its figures apply to. Rates change (most take effect from 1 July), so a figure that was correct last year may not be correct today.
